SPRING 2025 SOFTBALL SEASON - OPEN TO ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE

Join our recreation staff and league coaches to warm-up and prepare for the spring season. All players who register for the 2025 Spring Softball Season are invited to attend. New players will be assigned to teams and meet their coaches and teammates. Warm-Up will include workout and drills such as pitching, hitting, ground balls and more!

Team Practices will start the week of March 31, 2025
(Weather Permitting)
Practices are held twice per week (coach’s discretion) with most games occurring on weekdays. The season generally comprises of approximately 8-10 games. Weekend games may occur depending on scheduling constraints and number of make-up games needed.

Minors (Grades 1-2)
The Minors division is players in 1st and 2nd grade and provides a transition from t-ball to games that enforce softball rules. Players receive instruction by a coach and volunteers in a small group setting. The program provides a fun atmosphere and allows them to experience the value of teamwork. The first quarter of the season, players will hit off a tee; learn how to run the bases and what the positions on the field are called. The rest of the season will be coach pitch and there is no base stealing.

Majors (Grades 3-4)
This division uses Coach Pitch and in the second half of the season we introduce the players to Kid Pitch. There is no base stealing. The games are umpired by Coaches or by High School aged umpires (when available).

Juniors (Grades 5-6)
This division uses all Kid pitchers. Players are able to steal 2nd base. The games are umpired either by Middle Essex Umpires or by High School aged Umpires.
